How it does good

Beef jerky may have a solid place in the snack world, but the beef industry leaves behind a substantial carbon footprint. Michael Pan, founder of Pan's Mushroom Jerky, came across a better, more sustainable beef alternative when visiting family in Borneo, Malaysia: Shiitake mushrooms. His family recipe for mushroom jerky keeps the texture and taste profile of a standard beef jerky, but without using any meat at all. The mushroom jerky itself contains vitamins, fiber, and antioxidants while producing fewer carbon emissions.

I bought this for my jerky loving husband- who said once he figured out what exactly he was eating- it was delicious! (Texture not quite "meat")

Very Yummy

Truly delish! The hype is real. Pan's is sturdy, satisfying, and best of all tasty. We get one serving per adult, per bag. So, two big (as the shrooms are chunky/filling). So, it's an appetiser cost-wise. But really an excellent 7pm last-nibble treat! Or at the park to stave off hunger

Shoe Leather

I am so confused what's happening inside anyone's mouth that this is an enjoyable experience, but to each their own. This tastes like the mushrooms were grown inside old barn leather boots and went directly into the bag for retail sale. Sometimes I enjoy things that taste like dirt but I do not enjoy things that taste too close to actual meat or the tanned skin that used to house said meat.
