We love a new addition to the kitchen that wins at both form and function. Made with natural bamboo, sisal, and hemp, not only is this dish brush a win for zero plastic, it looks great by the sink too. Now, every time you wash the dishes, it’s like entering a set for a home goods photo op. Scrub away.

Sqwishful partners with environmentally-mindful producers to craft a long-lasting, compostable sponge made from plants.

Good news! The bamboo handle and replaceable dish brush head are home compostable.

How it does good

Wiping out BPA and plastic waste

Research shows that, when it comes to bacteria, kitchen sponges are the germiest things in our houses, even dirtier than toilets. It’s no wonder that trillions of sponges are tossed every year, but, when they’re made of plastic and end up in landfills, this can be a big problem for the environment. Inspired to change her life by a medical diagnosis and the revelation that women with PCOS have greater amounts of BPA in their bodies, Sqwishful’s founder aspires toward helping others live their lives plastic-free. Sqwishful sponges are made from plant ingredients, not plastic, and they’re compressed and compostable for a small carbon footprint. They also use renewable resources and partner with suppliers using alternative energy sources.

About the Brand

Sqwishful started with an optimist who loves to clean but hates that most cleaning products don't leave the world cleaner. Unlike conventional sponges, their sponges are plant-based and plastic-free. Working with suppliers who recycle sponge waste, use hydroelectric power, and plant trees to offset carbon, they’re proud to be in good company working toward making the world a cleaner, healthier, and happier place.

Light cleaning

I'm happy with it. It's softer than expected. So not great for scrubbing pans - I use it for plates, glasses...

Great dish brush

Works great and the dogs don’t eat it.

Breaks easily.

Broke only after a few weeks. I really wanted to love this but it basically rotted the wood and I’ve been hanging it up to dry properly after each use but to no avail.

Wonderful dish brush!

Nice, ergonomic handle. Moderately hard bristles hold & lather well for general dish washing. Very happy with the brush

Great brush. I even purchased one for a friend.

We love it. Just make sure and not leave it in water.
