Truffle popcorn always feels just a little more special than the others. And tiny things always feel like a snack. So, tiny truffle popcorn? Definitely one of our favorite things. And Oprah's, too.

Sustainable goodness

This mini heirloom corn is a special variety of corn that has been bred for a lot of generations and helps preserve biodiversity on farms. Pipsnacks sources their corn directly from domestic family farms.

Why we love it

This truffle "pipcorn" (aka tiny popcorn) really stands out. The small, crunchy kernels deliver big, bold taste. Salty, yummy, and delicately truffle-y, it's exactly what we look for when the flavor profile is as rich as truffle can be. We recommend you keep some extra bags handy, you're always going to want more.

How it does good

Counting on local corn farmers for success

The supply chain for corn farmers can be tricky to navigate. Often, they're competing with big, commercial farms. The Pipsnacks founders fell in love with unique qualities of heirloom corn and decided to work directly with small family farmers in the U.S. to source their special kernels. By relying on these farmers, their products have more nutritional value than commercially grown popcorn—and a better taste. Pipsnacks honors the history of heirloom corn farming by saving seeds from their harvests to replant later. They work with like-minded suppliers and prioritize treating people with respect. Plus, they make their packaging fully recyclable whenever they're able to.

  • supporting key causes

Pipsnacks has partnered with Save with Stories to make donations to Save the Children and No Kid Hungry.
  • responsible sourcing

Pipsnacks sources their heirloom corn from a small network of family farmers, and they use organic whey sourced from Wisconsin dairy farms as a byproduct of their milk production. They also upcycle corn byproducts from the cheese balls into crackers, which means they're able to use 99.9% of all the heirloom corn they purchase for a virtually no-waste process.
  • Certified Non-GMO

How to use it

These are so delicious on their own that probably the best way to eat them is to buy a second bag.

When you're done...

Recycle the whole bag through TerraCycle by following our special instructions.

These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

About the Brand

Once upon a time, Jen and her brother Jeff were packing up her Chicago apartment when they found a bag of teeny, tiny heirloom corn kernels. After popping this special little bag of corn, they loved it so much that they found the family farmer who grew it (he was in Indiana). A little while later, Jen, Jeff, and Jeff’s wife Teresa launched their company: the women-owned, minority-owned, family-owned, really great little thing called Pipsnacks.

Yummy w/a light truffle flavor

Big fan of these — could use a little more truffle flavor IMO, but they're delicious as-is.

truffle popcorn

actually disappointed in the flavor. very little truffle flavor. I was hoping for more POP. I had the truffle popcorn from Trader Joe's, and that was full of truffle flavor. I was hoping for more of that. The popcorn itself was good, though

Wanted to LOVE, but just wasn't my thing

I'd heard such great things about Pipcorn, and in particular the truffle flavor, so I wanted to love it, but I couldn't help but feel like I was eating bottom-of-the-bag popcorn crumbs with a hint of truffle. I just don't think they are for me!
