How it does good
The Coombs family has a saying: do right by the forest, and it'll do right by you. For over a century, they've been putting that into practice with organic farming that sees forests and farmers as two parts of one whole. Just because maple syrup comes from nature doesn't mean it's automatically organic or sustainable. Coombs works with Quality Assurance International to make sure their products are fully certified, so you don't have to worry about pesticides or chemicals—not even from neighboring farms. Coombs never taps their trees beyond capacity, which means the best-tasting syrup is also what's best for the environment. They're also working with other small farms to prevent urban sprawl and preserve the plants and animals they share their land with.
