Raw Wildflower Honey
3 reviews
Golden waves of sweet, sweet honey dripping off a spoon sounds like something from a day dream, doesn't it? It doesn't have to be a dream though. This lightly floral wildflower honey can make it a reality. Some people bake with it. Some people make tea. And some are just bold enough to eat it right off the spoon.

How it does good
Striving for more than just great honey
Protecting and supporting local honeybees has been a priority for Jacobsen Salt Co. and Bee Local since the beginning. With the help of like-minded local people, they've been able to rethink their operations and install a full service hive program in Southeast Portland. Jacobsen and Bee Local use a beekeeping practice that centers around scientific research and thoughtful improvements. They also offer educational classes, consulting, and harvesting services.
Jacobsen uses the pristine waters of Netarts Bay to source their sea salt (which is free from pollutants and microplastics). They also have Oregon seaweed farmers who help produce their furikak spice blend, they also use local rosemary farmers. Jacobsen has partnered with Burlap & Barrel and Diaspora to bring fair trade far beyond their own ingredients.
Learn MoreJacobsen Salt Co. has set their focus on childhood hunger causes. Each year, Ben Jacobsen participates in Chef's Cycle to raise money for the No Kid Hungry foundation. The company also donates products through out the year to foundations looking to end food insecurity and childhood hunger.
Learn MoreCurrently, most Jacobsen packaging is recyclable. They use glass and recuclable materials whenever they can, and they're looking to make plastic free alternatives for all packaging.
Learn MoreJacobsen is continually refining their processes to lower their carbon footprint. Right now, they're using gas in their process, but they've invested in new equipment to decrease their natural gas usage by nearly 50%.

this thing is really really tiny. I will perhaps order it again because it is the only raw honey Hive offers, but it was gone very quickly.
