By producing at source in Madagascar, Beyond Good is able to add value to the local economy, create skilled jobs and produce a finished product that creates more economic activity. Beyond Good tests for the presence of heavy metals in all of their bars annually. While all chocolate has as naturally occurring levels of cadmium and lead, they are at levels not harmful for human consumption. All of Their products are in compliance with strict quality and safety requirements of the U.S. FDA and California’s Proposition 65.

So they put their money where their mouth is. They built a factory in Madagascar as close as possible to their cocoa farmers.
