Black Urfa Chili
Walking the streets in southeastern Turkey, you'll pick up the intoxicating scents of grilled meat, roasted veggies, and this traditional spice. Black urfa chili is not your typical dried chili powder. In fact, it's not dry at all. The potent spice is mixed with salt and sunflower oil, which means each spoonful is densely packed with flavor. You'll love sprinkling it on meat, vegetables, eggs—and if you're feeling adventurous: chocolate cakes or brownies.

- Black Urfa Chili
Just enough heat
Brenda here from the Hive team! The Black Urfa Chili has become a go to in my spice cupboard. I've started using this in place of red pepper flakes in my recipes. It adds a really lovely depth to sauces and a bit of heat without being overpowering.
Adds "yummmmm" to pretty much everything
I have gazillions of spices and seasonings, but this has usurped them all and has taken the prime spot. It adds depth of flavor and just the right kick of heat to everything. So far, I've sprinkled over veggies when I roasting, along with salt, pepper and olive oil, and it takes it to a whole new level. Also over roast chicken, added to pasta - yummmm.
Earthiness with a kick
I've tried it on eggs, rice, mac & cheese, chicken, and several other things: it's added a lovely earthy richness with a hint of heat to everything. I suspect I'll be going through a few jars of it this year.
Legit awesome .. might be switching from Chipotle to this pepper as my standard
