Elmhurst's HydroRelease Method of "milking" nuts gives you all their fats, proteins and fiber without the use of chemicals, gums or preservatives. This means the nutrition you want from your nut milks is more concentrated and easier for your body to absorb. We'll drink (or dunk a cookie) to that.

Ingredients

Walnut Milk (Filtered Water, Walnuts), Gluten-Free Oats, Cold Brew Coffee, Maple Syrup, Natural Flavors, Salt.

Allergens: Tree nuts (walnut)

How to Use

Pour over ice or steam and foam to enjoy a creamy barista-style latte at home. Each carton contains two servings, so you could share with a friend or save the second half for later.

Recycling

Rinse the carton, replace the cap, and recycle the whole thing in your curbside recycling bin.

These are general guidelines for broadly-recyclable materials. Check with your local recycler to confirm what they take.

Hive Five™ Certified

Ingredient Integrity

Elmhurst began as a hand-bottled, hand-delivered milk producer, and they're hanging onto that simplicity today. They source all their nuts, seeds, and grains from North American farmers (except for their cashews). Their oat farmers agree not to use Glyphosate, a toxic herbicide commonly used to curb weed and grass growth, on any of their crops. Elmhurst also uses hydropower in their plant and aseptic packaging to keep their products free from preservatives.

Low Carbon Footprint

Because they remove the environmental impact of animal agriculture, greenhouse gases, and heavy land and water use, plant-based foods often have a lower carbon footprint.

Recyclable Packaging

Elmhurst's cartons are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and are 100% curbside recyclable.

Committed to Social Good

They regularly donate their products to food banks, hospitals, shelters, first responders, and the NAACP. Their Mission Transition is rallying others to replace dairy and meat with plant-based alternatives.

How it does good

Dairy production often leads to food waste and negative environmental impacts, not to mention questions about chemical additives and animal welfare. With this in mind, Henry Schwartz reinvented his family dairy, in business for just shy of a century, as a maker of plant-based dairy alternatives. Elmhurst 1925 began with its distinctive HydroRelease™ process, which crafts nutrient-rich, nut, grain, and seed-based milks using only water. And that’s not all. Everything Elmhurst makes with this process is either sold or used in other products, meaning zero waste. Their facility is hydro-powered, their plant sources are fully traceable, and their packaging is 100% recyclable.

Elmhurst 1925

When the original Elmhurst Dairy closed its doors in Queens in 2016, Henry Schwartz moved his father’s company to Buffalo and reimagined it to embrace the future of milk: plant-based dairy. Using a game-changing process developed by food technologist Dr. Cheryl Mitchell, Elmhurt 1925 uses more of the source grain, nut, or seed, and the finished product is superior nutrition and flavor with fewer ingredients.
