A Dozen Cousins
Growing up, founder Ibraheem Basir's kitchen was a melting pot of Creole, Caribbean, and Latin American cooking. As he got older and learned the importance of eating naturally, he hated that it was so hard to find convenient foods that were both healthy and authentic. He started A Dozen Cousins, inspired by his daughter and her 11 cousins, so that it would be easier to enjoy authentic cultural recipes made with wholesome ingredients. Today, A Dozen Cousins is on a mission to eliminate socioeconomic health disparities in the US.Shop Brand

- Hive - Jamie
Hey there, Hive - Jamie here from the Sustainability team! Honestly, I can't say enough about the flavor of these and all of the Dozen Cousins beans. These have quickly become my favorite go-to lunch when I'm crunched for time. Quick, easy, and uncompromising on taste, you can't go wrong with any of their selections. Plus, they keep me full the whole afternoon, so I'm not mindlessly grazing on things while working from home - a definite added bonus!
It's pretty dang good. I make a wrap of this with sautéed onion and red bell pepper and add This Little Goat's Yucatan Sauce. Highly recommend

This has quickly become one of my favorite prepared bean products. So tasty, a bit spicy, and healthy! Yum!
I love black beans, period. These are delicious, easy to prepare, and work with other dishes or alone. My husband has used them in his enchilada soup. I like them with rice or with a piece of buttered toast. So versatile.
