Refried Black Beans
All of A Dozen Cousins’ beans were inspired by traditional recipes that pair perfectly with authentic ingredients (and growling stomachs). Maybe that’s how these indulgently creamy, refried beans manage to taste just like home, no matter where you’re from. Mashed black beans, swelling with spices, make for a satisfyingly sticky dish you’re guaranteed to stick with.

About the Brand
A Dozen Cousins
Growing up, founder Ibraheem Basir's kitchen was a melting pot of Creole, Caribbean, and Latin American cooking. As he got older and learned the importance of eating naturally, he hated that it was so hard to find convenient foods that were both healthy and authentic. He started A Dozen Cousins, inspired by his daughter and her 11 cousins, so that it would be easier to enjoy authentic cultural recipes made with wholesome ingredients. Today, A Dozen Cousins is on a mission to eliminate socioeconomic health disparities in the US.Shop Brand

Refried Black beans
Perfect I really enjoyed them and will be purchasing again
As a San Diegan now living in New York (and working as Hive's Sustainability Manager, hi!), I pine for melty bean-and-cheese burritos on the daily. A Dozen Cousins' Refried Black Beans hits the spot when I feel like whipping up a skillet-grilled burrito for breakfast, lunch, dinner... you get the picture. The pouch is super easy to microwave, and I love that I can recycle it in one of Hive's TerraCycle envelopes after I've scooped out every last bean. With the added bonus of being plant-based (no lard here!), these beans are always front and center in my pantry.
