How it does good
Starting from scratch and building something better
"Nut butters can be made with very simple ingredients. Namely the nuts themselves. When it comes to farming them, Big Spoon Roasters has committed to responsible sourcing. Mark Overbay, the founder, was inspired to create his nut butters after spending time in Zimbabwe. There, he learned to honor simple ingredients and bring care into everything he makes. By using trusted, transparent farms and producers that share their philosophy, Big Spoon makes it clear that their relationships with supplies are honest and long lasting. Doing this means both the farmers and Big Spoon can help each other by collectively growing the demand for higher quality, sustainable agriculture. Today, Big Spoon makes their delicious nut butters in Hillsborough, NC. They also work with Bee Friendly Certified almond growers in California along with domestic pecan farmers in Georgia, ginger farmers in Fiji, sorghum farmers in Tennessee, and more partners that ensure freshness, flavor, and quality.
Every nut butter jar is fully recyclable, and so are the bar boxes. Plus, the labels are printed with non-toxic ink.Learn More
